How does the virus scanner handle encrypted mails/attachments?
If a mail has been encrypted with a REDDOXX and is sent to another REDDOXX, the mail will be scanned for viruses like any other mail.
The encrypted mail will be decrypted in the first place, if the passphrase (in case of MailSealer Light) or the public key is available.
After successful decryption, the virus scanner can scan the mail.
If the mail cannot be encrypted, the encrypted mail will still be scanned, but viruses will not be detected, which is the general purpose of encrypting mails.
